Red Carpet Review: SAG Awards

Last night was the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Although I was not really impressed with the gowns that were shown, I was still able to select a few as my top looks of the evening. And here they are…

Melissa Leo

I love this dress that Melissa Leo is wearing. It is by Randi Rahm. The look is flawless, but next time, I would suggest she wear some Spanx.

Tina Fey

Tina Fey was definitely ‘Most Improved’  in this Oscar de la Renta gown. I love this deep red as well. It is so classy!

Claire Danes

Claire Danes chose this bright and fun Louis Vuitton dress. I just love the print. It is very different from what she usually wears.

January Jones

January Jones finally made it in my book in this Carolina Herrera dress. I usually don’t go for a mermaid gown, but this one is so subtle.

Natalie Portman chose this dress by Azzaro. I love the simplicity, and I am so happy that she is finally showing off her baby bump. Her earrings by Tiffany & Co. were also absolutely amazing. They were worth $1 million!

My Favorite Look of the Evening:

Mila Kunis

Mila Kunis looked absolutely stunning last night in this Alexander McQueen dress. I love it! It is so fresh and perfect for this award ceremony. The hair and make-up is flawless as well!

It Don’t Mean a Thing, If You Ain’t Got That Ring

I love funky jewelry, especially pieces that are truly unique. Rings are probably the most fun to wear because they can be over the top. I found some rings that are really out of the ordinary. It’s definitely hard to find rings like these out on the streets. These rings are also great conversations starters!

Baby Fashionista

I am truly a book worm. I have loved to read every since I was a child. As I got older, I still enjoyed reading children’s books to my cousins and neighbors when I would babysit. Today, I thought it would be fun to feature some old and new children’s books that are full of style! Because let’s face it, we all like to act like a kid sometimes.

This was one of my favorite books when I was young. Today I Feel Silly: And Other Moods That Make My Day by Jamie Lee Curtis is a great book that shows this young girl with a lot of individuality. The pictures are so fun! The book is $11.55 at Amazon.com

Just Being Audrey

My Wonderful World of Fashion by Nina Chakrabarti is a fun activity book for any young fashionista. It is full of illustrations, which is perfect for any  aspiring young designer. The book is $13.57 at Amazon.com

Different Like Coco by Elizabeth Matthews: Book Cover

Elizabeth Matthews writes this fantastic book, Different Like Coco. She writes this beautiful rags to riches story about Coco Chanel. The book definitely inspires young girls to love being different. The book is $13.06 at Barnesandnoble.com
